In class, we learned how to use cameras in Unreal Engine 5, which may be helpful for both our future individual projects and team projects.

In addition, we also learned how to import character models and animations from Autodesk Maya into Unreal Engine 5.

I hope to use megalophobia as the theme and create a project video by compositing a self-made 3D asset into footage of a real-world environment.

P2_Group_Story_My Plan

Based on the keywords “social justice” and “sustainable development” in the project requirements, I wrote a story script related to these themes.

In class, we systematically learned the basic application of Unreal Engine Sequencer and the fundamental workflow of animation production, including creating motion paths and controlling transition rhythm.

In the animation section, we practiced using keyframe techniques to create dynamic effects, such as completing an airplane takeoff animation. By setting the position, rotation, and speed changes at different time points, we were able to present the full takeoff process. At the same time, we also learned how to import and use robot character animation files, apply motion assets to models, and adjust playback control as needed.

Through these practical exercises, we gained a preliminary understanding of how to use Unreal Engine for basic cinematic expression, laying a foundation for more complex animation production and scene storytelling in the future.
